Are you a professional working to increase your communities’ economic development and quality of life? Are you interested in learning more about Brownfield’s in your community? The East Central Intergovernmental Association (ECIA) has partnered with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IADNR) and Kansas State Technical Assistance to Brownfields (TAB) to provide an “All You Need To Know” informational session on Brownfields. ECIA received a $550,000 grant from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to utilize in Jackson, Clinton, Dubuque, Delaware and Cedar county communities who have identified Brownfield projects. Topics ranging from “What is a Brownfield?”, “What resources are available to me and how do I leverage them?” and several success stories in small communities like yours will be covered. This is a free event and open to anyone that is interested in improving their communities. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. If you have any questions please contact Grace Griffin at ggriffin@ecia.org.
